The​ ​Illinois​ ​Dental​ ​Hygienists’​ ​Association,​ ​the​ ​Illinois​ ​Department​ ​of​ ​Public​ ​Health,​ ​and the​ ​Illinois​ ​State​ ​Dental​ ​Society​ ​have​ ​all​ ​made​ ​their​ ​recommendations​ ​regarding​ ​the coursework​ ​needed​ ​to​ ​obtain​ ​a​ ​Public​ ​Health​ ​Dental​ ​Hygienist​ ​Certificate.

All​ ​Recommendations​ ​have​ ​been​ ​given​ ​to​ ​The​ ​Illinois​ ​Department​ ​of​ ​Financial​ ​and Professional​ ​Regulations,​ ​who​ ​are​ ​in​ ​the​ ​process​ ​of​ ​writing​ ​the​ ​specific​ ​coursework.

Please​ ​keep​ ​in​ ​mind​ ​that​ ​the​ ​legislative​ ​process​ ​is​ ​a​ ​long​ ​and​ ​sometimes​ ​a​ ​tedious​ ​one. Updates​ ​will​ ​continue​ ​to​ ​be​ ​posted​ ​as​ ​soon​ ​as​ ​they​ ​are​ ​made​ ​available​ ​to​ ​us.
