New Professional Category Launch
We have a new membership category! New Professional membership is designed for recent RDH graduates (all degree levels) – offering them all the pro-level benefits of membership at a significant discount.
What is New Professional membership?
A new option for graduates of a undergrad or grad DH program within the last two years. So at launch it's available for 2023 and 2024 graduates!
What is special about this category?
Dental hygienists getting started in their career can join their professional association and SAVE 35% on national, state AND local dues for two years after graduation! New grads can use all the savings that they can get - yet it's a critical time for building connections, leadership skills and learning the ropes. We created this new option so early career RDH can access the pro benefits of ADHA for less $ as they get more established in the profession. It's a win-win!
What this means for current GRAD members:
- Reminder, these are 2024 graduates who were student members when they graduated and are enjoying their free trial membership until 12/31/2024.
- They will be encouraged to RENEW as new professionals.
- They will be eligible to renew for 2026 at the reduced rate, too!
What this means for current non-members who graduated in last two years:
- 2023 graduates can JOIN as a new professional, and enjoy reduced rates through 2025
- 2024 graduates can JOIN as a new professional, and be eligible to RENEW for 2026 at the reduced rate

What is the Scholar Society/The Mary Denowh Scholarship?
The Illinois Dental Hygienists' Association Scholar Society helps ensure scholarship funding for dental hygiene students in Illinois. ** The Illinois Dental Hygienists' Association Scholar Society name was changed by Board of Trustees vote at the 2020 General Assembly in memoriam of IDHA Past President Mary Denowh.
