House Bill 345 takes effect July 1, 2019. It aims to reduce tobacco use among teens and young adults by preventing them from starting.
The Illinois Dental Hygienists’ Association was a proud supporter of House Bill 345, also known as Tobacco 21.

Please be advised as of January 1, 2019:
All children in kindergarten and the second, sixth, and NINTH grades of any public, private or parochial school shall have a dental examination.
