President: Sherri Foran, RDH, BSDH, MPA, PHDH
Sherri Foran is excited to serve as President of the IDHA. Sherri began her career in dentistry in 1987 as a dental assistant. In 1992, she graduated from St. Louis Community College with an A.A. S. degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2012, Sherri earned her Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene from the College of Southern Nevada, and in 2016 she earned her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Illinois.
Sherri practiced clinical dental hygiene for 20+ years and holds professional licenses in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas and California. In 2012, Sherri was given the opportunity to teach dental hygiene. both didactically and clinically and from 2014-2016 served as the co-director of the Fox College Dental Hygiene Program.
Sherri now enjoys a career with the Illinois Department of Public Health, as the Oral Health Consultant for the Northern Illinois Region. Providing quality assurance in the school-based oral health dental sealant programs, supporting local health departments and providing community members with dental referrals and information are enjoyed. Sherri also currently serves on the advisory board at Fox College.
Sherri lives in Downers Grove with her husband, Dave of 31 years and their fur-baby Olivia. Sherri also has two adult daughters, a son-in-law and is expecting her first grandchild soon! Boating and anything "water" is what Sherri and her family do for fun! Sherri and Dave also serve on the board of a marriage ministry and present two weekends a year for couples who desire a "new beginning" for their marriage.

President- Elect: Lydia Park , RDH, BS
Lydia Park is dental hygienist who works at a private practice office in the north suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from Harper College in 2010 with a AAS degree in Dental Hygiene. She recently earned her B.S. in Healthcare Leadership at National Louis University.
Lydia has been a member of ADHA/IDHA since she graduated with her dental hygiene degree. She has served as an alternate delegate at the ADHA House of Delegates in 2019 and 2020. She has also served as a trustee and has been on the finance committee for the Lake County/McHenry County Component. She was also a director for the ILHy-PAC. She is excited to continue serving IDHA as the President-Elect.
Outside of dental hygiene, Lydia loves to travel. Some of the places she has traveled are Australia, Scotland, and Hungary. She plans to continue exploring new countries and more of the U.S.
Immediate Past President: Jeanne Bosecker, BSN, RDH
Jeanne Bosecker is a private practice dental hygienist living in the Chicago Suburbs. She received her BSN from the University of Iowa in 1996. After discovering that nursing was not for her, she found her passion in dentistry working as an assistant for a pediatric dentist, a general dentist and an orthodontist. She graduated with her AAS in dental hygiene from Illinois Central College in Peoria, IL in 2006. She worked for three years at a small general dentistry practice in Glen Ellyn, IL and for eight years at a general practice in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. She currently works part time at a general practice in Wheaton and one in Bloomingdale. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, live music and karaoke. She lives in Bartlett, IL with her three cats.
General Assembly Chair: Kim Fasula, RDH
Kim Fasula is eager to serve as General Assembly Chair for IDHA! Kim began working as a dental assistant while she was an undergraduate student at Loyola University working on her BS in Biology. She went on to earn an AAS in Dental Hygiene from Kennedy-King College at UIC College of Dentistry, an MS in Dental Hygiene from Forsyth in Boston, an MPH from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and is about to complete a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction in Health Professions Education from UIC College of Medicine.
Kim practiced clinical dental hygiene for over 20 years and remains passionate about education, research, and service! Kim has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor with faculty appointments teaching dental hygiene students at Kennedy King College and dental students at UIC College of Dentistry. She spent two years as the principle investigator on a clinical trial at UIC studying the association between oral biofilm and risk factors for cardiovascular disease and had her research published in the American Journal of Medicine. Additionally, during her tenure at UIC, she served as Director of Faculty Dental Practice and Director of Clinic Operations in the Department of Orthodontics. In 2014, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), National Dental Honor Society, which is considered the highest achievable honor in dental education!
Kim is currently the Director of Hygiene for Chicagoland Smile Group and the Director of Interprofessional Education for Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. She also serves as an active dental hygiene clinical licensing board examiner for both CRDTS and CDCA (formerly NERB).
Kim is a member of the Malcolm X College Advisory Board and sits on the Allied Dental Personnel Committee for the Illinois State Dental Society, in addition to working on countless committees on local, city, state, and national levels.
Kim is a life-long resident of the city of Chicago, where she currently resides with her husband Jim, children Tressa, Francesca, and Jimmy, and her 3 dogs, Hazel, Henry and Gertie. During her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time at her lake house, boating, doing yoga, traveling, and reading.
