2022 IDHA Executive Council

President: Lydia Park , RDH, BS

Lydia Park is dental hygienist who works at a private practice office in the north suburbs of Chicago.  She graduated from Harper College in 2010 with a AAS degree in Dental Hygiene.  She recently earned her B.S. in Healthcare Leadership at National Louis University.

Lydia has been a member of ADHA/IDHA since she graduated with her dental hygiene degree.  She has served as an alternate delegate at the ADHA House of Delegates in 2019 and 2020.  She has also served as a trustee and has been on the finance committee for the Lake County/McHenry County Component.  She was also a director for the ILHy-PAC.  She is excited to continue serving IDHA as the President-Elect.

Outside of dental hygiene, Lydia loves to travel.  Some of the places she has traveled are Australia, Scotland, and Hungary.  She plans to continue exploring new countries and more of the U.S.

Immediate Past President: Sherri Foran, RDH, BSDH, MPA, PHDH

Sherri Foran is excited to serve as President of the IDHA.  Sherri began her career in dentistry in 1987 as a dental assistant.  In 1992, she graduated from St. Louis Community College with an A.A. S. degree in Dental Hygiene.  In 2012, Sherri earned her Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene from the College of Southern Nevada, and in 2016 she earned her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Illinois.  

Sherri practiced clinical dental hygiene for 20+ years and holds professional licenses in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas and California.  In 2012, Sherri was given the opportunity to teach dental hygiene. both didactically and clinically and from 2014-2016 served as the co-director of the Fox College Dental Hygiene Program.  

Sherri now enjoys a career with the Illinois Department of Public Health, as the Oral Health Consultant for the Northern Illinois Region.  Providing quality assurance in the school-based oral health dental sealant programs, supporting local health departments and providing community members with dental referrals and information are enjoyed.  Sherri also currently serves on the advisory board at Fox College.  

Sherri lives in Downers Grove with her husband, Dave of 31 years and their fur-baby Olivia.  Sherri also has two adult daughters, a son-in-law and is expecting her first grandchild soon!  Boating and anything "water" is what Sherri and her family do for fun!  Sherri and Dave also serve on the board of a marriage ministry and present two weekends a year for couples who desire a "new beginning" for their marriage.

Secretary: Monica Baldwin, RDH, BSDH, PHDH

 Monica Baldwin is a private practice dental hygienist who has served in various leadership positions with IDHA over the past few years such as Lake/McHenry County Trustee and Finance Committee, Membership Chair, Legislative Chair, and Alternate Delegate for ADHA.  She graduated from College of Lake County and received a Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene through Eastern Washington University. 

Monica strives to learn as much as there is to know about oral health by attending continuing education courses regardless if she has fulfilled her required amount for licensure renewal. "There is always something new to learn and always something more I can do for my patients to give them the best care possible." She is committed to life-long learning.

Monica is passionate about the dental hygiene field and is enthusiastic about making strides and supporting dental hygienists, especially in Illinois through her leadership positions with IDHA.
